Thank
you for visiting our website! Academy of Montessori Brantford Inc, is nestled back within a quiet
neighbourhood. Bright large classrooms, equipped with Montessori equipment that is enriching and inviting
for children of mixed ages.
Our school
offers a gym - for various programming and a certified/inspected playground to meet all safety requirements.
A relaxed and happy environment were students can be free to be themselves, guided by the Montessori philosophy. Daily
observations and mid and year end report cards, are part of all of our programming.
Our
school is licensed with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. For additional
information visit the Ministry of Children and Youth Services, to view criteria for licensed daycare settings- http://www.ontario.ca/ONT/portal51/licensedchildcare
All licensed
settings, are inspected to meet various requirements. Although tuition rates can dictate which facility you may
want to place your child with; a visit to any school during operational hours is very important.
It is equally important to witness the teachers interaction with the students and how the program appears to be facilitated.
Do you think your child will adapt well with the school's facilitation/staff?
You will not only educate yourself about a particular center but, your comfort level about the atmosphere and
staff must also be cohesive. You will be surprised
how comforting it can be, to actually spend some time at a center. We
understand that we are important role models to your child (ren), not only from an educational component.
Our teachers recognize
your child(ren)'s individuality while teaching them respect for others and the environment. With observing and
guiding their interests, emerging skills are challenged to optimize their inherient abilities. All
teachers are certified with Montessori and or hold credentials from Recognized Early Childhood Associations/Schools.
Although group learning is
fundamental, the ability to seek out activities and learn independently is equally as important. Through self-correcting
materials, children gain independence and a sense of accomplishment, as they progress through the Montessori curriculum.
